tree reflections, morning fog
This is another example of how less is sometimes more, when it comes to photographic composition. Initially I had framed a wider shot, showing the forested hillside catching the first light of dawn and reflecting in the lake. But it seemed a little too busy. I kept subtracting elements by zooming in, until I was left with just the basics of the scene: reflections and wispy morning fog on the surface of the water.
